Getting to know Margaret Springer

Hi there! I am a licensed therapist (LCSW) in Illinois with over 7 years experience providing therapeutic services to diverse populations of individuals, groups, and families. I have worked with clients with a wide variety of presenting concerns including depression, stress and anxiety, ADHD, family conflicts, relationship issues, anger management, and self-esteem. I have also helped many clients work through trauma, abuse, grief and loss. If you are ready to make some positive changes in your life, I am here to support you along the way. Look forward to working with you!

What should a new client know about working with you?

In sessions with me, you can expect a supportive listening ear, honest & unbiased perspective, and goal-oriented discussion. Your initial session would include a spoken intake assessment for me learn more about you and the presenting issues, while also helping us to build rapport, discuss goals, and create a treatment plan that works best for you. At the end of each session, I typically have my clients pick a main focus for the week(s) ahead, so it does not feel like everything needs to be tackled at once. I will also provide resources in between sessions when needed, to help further self-growth on your own time. I always strive to provide a calm, safe space for my clients to feel both supported and empowered when discussing their unique challenges.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.

Margaret has been such a huge support to me in life over the course of the last year. I genuinely appreciate her warm and authentic personality and approach. If I had to recommend any professional therapist to a loved one, it would be Margaret because I have nothing but absolute faith in her ability to listen someone and be of best help in processing whatever challenges life may throw at one.
Dr. Owens was extremely empathetic and supportive towards me during our appointment. She communicates in a professional, but digestible way. I had a great experience and would highly recommend
