Getting to know Margot Lee

Margot Morrison Lee has been a therapist for over 24 years. Licensed in both Massachusetts and Florida, she specializes in substance abuse, trauma, communication, anxiety, addiction, and self-esteem. She holds a Master's in Mental Health Counseling from Nova Southeastern University. Trained in EMDR, DBT, RRT, ACT, and CBT trauma-focused therapy, animal-assisted therapy, and Smart Recovery, Margot is a certified Trauma Specialist and a qualified supervisor who trains LMFT and LMHC candidates. She has made important contributions to her field. Margot connects with her clients and works to help them understand ways they can make changes to improve how they are feeling and functioning. She works with adults, teens, couples, and members of the LGBTQ+ community who struggle with anxiety, substance abuse, relationship issues, motivation, and coping skills. Using a solution-focused style and working to resolve problematic thinking, she will help you set goals and achieve them.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I try to tailor my therapeutic approach to my clients' needs. I don't assume a "cookie cutter" approach to any problem, though I do use evidence-based approaches to help with every individual's concerns. During my work with you, I will strive to make sure you feel validated, heard, and respected. I also work to make sure we are acknowledging and respecting the challenges you may be facing and that any of the goals we set or steps we take toward them are in line with your values, beliefs, or other things that are important to you. My hope is that you leave every session with something you feel you can follow through on or a deepened understanding of yourself.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.

Our first session was insightful, grounding and Margot did a fantastic job professionally laying the groundwork for our work together. I look forward to our next session!
Margot has been fantastic at helping me to challenge myself and to think realistically about my addiction and help me to carve achievable goals to make progress.
The first therapist out of four I've connected with at all in the last four years. Excellent feedback, she isn't a "yes man" who will enable you, she'll actually help you if you want the help. Early into therapy but so far I love her.
Margot is truly the BEST therapist in the world. She is so talented, authentic, direct yet non-judgmental. She is a true gift. I always feel at least 90% better after our session. I would 10/10 recommend Margot!
20 sessions in! This has been a great experience.
She's incredibly intuitive and gets my partner and I even without us having to explain a lot of things. We joke that she reads our minds.
