Do you feel trapped by someone else's toxic behavior? Do you feel like you can never escape the manipulation and mind games of a difficult person? Do you feel forced to choose between your career and your sanity? Are you being gaslit when you mention your experience of racism to authority figures or others who say they care about you? I empower professionals of color-and their anti-racist allies-to manage stress and heal from abusive personal and professional relationships. This includes supporting partners, co-workers, employees, and children of narcissists. I use a mind-body approach that combines Acceptance Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Somatic Therapy, Strengths-Based Therapy, and Mindfulness. My style is both direct and compassionate, with an offbeat sense of humor that helps you remember the strategies we discuss. You will never leave a session without individualized tools for healing that you can use in the life you have right now-to build a happier, more balanced, and more empowered self for the future. I hold a Master's degree in Counseling Psychology from John F. Kennedy University and a Bachelor's degree from the University of California, Berkeley.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I take a no-nonsense, practical approach to therapy that is individually tailored to your unique strengths and values. After a few months working together, you'll be amazed at your ability to set boundaries, say "no" to situations that drain you, and identify the manipulative communication patterns of unhealthy people. As a result, you will have more time for the people who truly care about you and the goals that you've dreamed about for years.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
