Hi! I am Maria. Are you feeling overwhelmed, confused, alone, or that no one can possibly understand what you are going through? Do you struggle with relationships, especially the consequences they bring? Are you feeling stressed by a pregnancy, communicating with your significant other, decisions around birth control and parenting, and all that's in between? I work one-on-one with women to discuss life stressors that cause stress, anger, increased sadness, and feelings of isolation. Using a holistic and strengths-based approach, we will work together to identify the area causing you the biggest issues, address your soul and body connection, and take a personalized approach to your healing and well-being. Drawing on strategies from various approaches—mindfulness, positivity, art/journal/creative therapy, talk therapy, and spirituality-based methods, to name a few—I provide a nonjudgmental space for you to express your thoughts and ease some of the mental, emotional, and spiritual burdens you may be carrying. I hold a Master’s in Social Work from the Catholic University of America, which informs my compassionate and comprehensive approach to care. Starting this journey is never easy, but taking that first step will empower you to access the support within your reach and promote your happiness and well-being. Nothing is too small, nothing is insignificant—do not be afraid. Reach out; I would love to work with you!

What should a new client know about working with you?

During our first session, you can expect an initial dialogue, just as you would when you first meet someone at school, work, at the park, etc. We will get to know each other gradually, over time; future visits will be therapeutic in nature. In the first sessions, you can expect to answer questions about what you are feeling, what brought you to therapy, and your history. The goal will be to clearly establish your need, come together to determine the goal for our therapeutic work together, and develop a plan as we build our rapport.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
