Hi and welcome. My name is Maria.
Change can be overwhelming and sometimes it's difficult to know where to begin. Do you feel irritable, alone in a crowd, unable to sleep, and constantly run down? Is it difficult to get along with family members and peers? Have you stopped sharing your feelings with friends for fear of being judged? Are you feeling depressed or anxious?
I am a bilingual therapist with over 20 years of experience, holding a Master's in Social Work from Fordham University. My experience comes from working in outpatient clinics, psychiatric emergency rooms, and inpatient units. My preferred population is young adults and adults of any age.
I'll meet you where you are in your life. I will help you move forward and discover your value as a person using evidence-based techniques. Let's work together-I look forward to hearing from you.
What should a new client know about working with you?
I will provide you with coping tools to improve your quality of life from the first session. I will teach you how to discover or rediscover your voice. I will help you understand how the past affects the present but does not define you. I will help you find the best part of you that has remained sleep. I will help you learn how to make the impossible possible by discovering that you are strong and able to do anything you put your mind to do.

More information on payments and coverage
Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
