Getting to know Maria Ruiz

Hello! My name is Maria Ruiz, and I'd like to introduce myself as a motivating and striving individual. In my professional work, I collaborate with, support, and encourage clients to achieve a balanced life, be happy, and feel safe. With a Master's in Counseling Psychology from North Park University and eight years of counseling experience, I have worked with individuals from all walks of life. I have assisted people in navigating their healing journeys as they grieve losses from death, relationships, trauma, and other life events. I have worked with domestic violence victims to rebuild their lives, discover who they are, and learn to live a safe and validating life. I have guided people in exploring their depression, anxiety, and anger to gain a better understanding of themselves and their ability to take control of their lives. As a clinician, I am passionate, empathetic, energetic, and direct. I provide kind, genuine, and reflective guidance to walk alongside you as you work toward achieving your goals.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I meet client where they are at, in their stage of change. I will listen to you empathically and remain respectful of you and your choices. We will work together to co-create your goals to power you up from within. I will be hones and direct in an effort to continue motivating you to be your best self.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
