“Maria is best emotional support there is. She listens to me, provides me tools as needed, and acknowledges my feelings. I have never felt judged and she has created a safe space for me that I do not have elsewhere. She makes the sessions culturally relevant as well, which was VERY important for me. Even when I begin to shut down, she keeps the engagement going. She grounds me after a difficult discussion and is actively making me set goals for myself. I feel an improvement in myself and I give a big thanks to her.”

I am bilingual, bicultural, and a first-generation Latina. I specialize in working with adults facing life transition difficulties, anxiety, depression, grief, and trauma. I hold a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Phillips Graduate University and a Bachelor’s degree from California State University, Northridge. I have been certified in various evidence-based practices. I am passionate about working to support the desired change.
