Getting to know Mariah Bainbridge
We all have different life experiences, beliefs, and perspectives - we all yearn for understanding. Sometimes, our unique challenges can be difficult to talk about with the people closest to us. "Why can't I figure this out myself? How does therapy even work?" We get confused and overwhelmed! We fear being judged, unaccepted, or unsupported. My goal is to promote a safe environment that enhances joy, wellness, and healing. We can dive into an open exploration of personal values and fears. I will strive to help you heal wounds from the past or present and empower you to create a life that is beautifully authentic. I am so humbled by the bravery of my clients. We will work together to create a therapeutic alliance built on trust. I utilize a person-centered approach to facilitate meaningful life changes and healthy emotional well-being. I believe that all people have the capacity to hold onto hope; vulnerability is courageous.
I earned my MEd in Counseling from William & Mary, which has deeply informed my approach to therapy. In my spare time, I enjoy anything to do with plants, evenings at the beach, traveling, yoga, and reading! I prioritize hiking trips with my dog and exploring nature in all its beauty. Regardless of where you are headed, I sincerely wish you the best on your healing journey!
