Hello there! My name is Marianna Skidmore. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Virginia, and I’m excited to help you navigate life’s ups and downs! Since this is a secondary role for me, my availability is currently limited to Mondays. I want to be sure you’re aware of this before scheduling so we can make the most of our time together. Outside of being a therapist, I’m a dog mom, an artist, and a wife. While I don’t have children myself—and I understand that’s important for some to know—I am here to support you, even if I don’t share the experience of parenthood. I do know what it’s like to be a patient; I sought therapy in my 20s while trying to navigate life’s challenges. I’ve experienced the frustration of working hard without seeing immediate results. Growing up in Southwest Virginia, deep in the Appalachian Mountains, I’ve seen struggle and have felt hopeless about my path at times. I became a therapist to create a supportive space for others, much like the one I wished for myself during those difficult times.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
