Getting to know Marianny Arribas
I am a native Portuguese speaker with proficiency in Spanish and English, and I have been using these skills to provide counseling services in all three languages. I hold a Master's in Mental Health Counseling from Northwestern University and a Master's in Educational Psychology from Capella University. I have been offering psychotherapy services for adolescents, adults, families, and couples. My work is guided by a psychoanalytic orientation, valuing the ethics of listening and acceptance as a way to assist and access people in their relationships with themselves, with others, and the world. This approach focuses on unconscious processes and the singularities of each individual. The main intention is to amplify the life potential in each of us, helping us to understand our responsibility in the way we live, work, suffer, and love. This process can be a liberating experience in that it does not try to adapt us to fixed standards. It guides us to cope with our own way of existing, allowing us to say no to the unbearable and sustain our own position and desire in the world.

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
