Hi there, I'm Maricella!
My name is Maricella Campuzano, and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the metro area of Los Angeles. I earned my Master's in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University. I am a trauma-focused therapist who specializes in treating adolescents and adults, particularly those in at-risk populations.
My approach
I believe therapy is most effective when it aligns with each client's individual treatment needs. I utilize an eclectic approach, combining methods such as CBT, DBT, TF-CBT, client-centered therapy, object-relations, and attachment theories to provide the most effective treatment and meet you where you are.
My focus
With over a decade of experience, I have worked extensively with adolescents, adults, and families in underserved populations, especially at-risk youth. I have particular expertise supporting adolescents on probation, those recently incarcerated, or transitioning back into the community. I also specialize in treating PTSD, C-PTSD, anxiety, depression, and other mood disorders.
My communication style
When working with me, you will find a warm, welcoming, and nonjudgmental space to be yourself. I believe in being down to earth and approachable to build trust and strong alliances-without which therapy cannot be effective.
My journey to therapy
Having struggled with depression since adolescence, I have always wanted to provide others the support I lacked. I strive to show up for my clients the way I wished someone had shown up for me. There is a light at the end of the tunnel, and I want to help you see it.

I use a collaborative approach to develop treatment goals. I want you to feel empowered in your treatment by identifying what you want to work on, alongside my professional guidance. I believe this fosters increased motivation and trust.
