My name is Marie Cadet, Lic # CSW006185. I have worked with clients facing a wide range of concerns, including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting problems, career challenges, marriage, and divorce. I have also helped many others dealing with physical trauma or emotional abuse.
My approach
My counseling style is warm and interactive. I believe we all have the inner tools to heal ourselves. My most common theoretical approaches include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Client-Centered Therapy, Gottman Method, Mindfulness Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Narrative Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Trauma-Focused Therapy.

I typically work with a variety of clients-adults, seniors, men, women, young adults, and adolescents.

My therapeutic space is one where clients feel respected, supported, and empowered to be their best.
My journey to therapy
I have always had a passion for helping people and a desire to see them flourish. I began counseling individuals in my community before returning to earn my Master's in Social Work from the University of Georgia and working toward my clinical license.

I view goal setting as a roadmap to better health. I work collaboratively with clients to develop goals that are attainable.

The first session is about getting to know each other and developing rapport. We begin by discussing your goals for therapy. I also encourage clients to ask any questions they may have about the process.
