Getting to know Mario Bugnone
Hi, I'm Mario. I am a dedicated therapist, father, husband, brother, and son. With over 15 years of experience working in various areas of the country and with different mental health disorders, I bring a wealth of knowledge and compassion to my practice. My journey into therapy began during my Master’s in Social Work program. Initially, I had different career aspirations, but once I started, I knew this was my calling.
My therapeutic philosophy centers around the belief that everyone has the capacity to heal and grow, even from the most challenging experiences. I have shifted my clinical focus to PTSD because it is the most rewarding for me. Helping people crawl out of the pit they have been in for a long time is truly what it is all about for me. Once I learned EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and CPT (Cognitive Processing Therapy), I never looked back. These techniques have proven to be incredibly effective in helping my clients process and overcome their trauma.
As a Licensed Independent Social Worker, I also specialize in addiction, anxiety, and depression. My approach is client-centered and collaborative, ensuring that each person feels heard, understood, and supported throughout their therapeutic journey. I offer SonderMind Video Telehealth sessions, providing flexible and accessible care for those who need it.
Outside of my professional life, I am deeply committed to my family. Being a father, husband, brother, and son enriches my life and keeps me grounded. These roles remind me daily of the importance of connection, empathy, and resilience.
