Hi there, I'm Mario! I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with the state of California. I utilize humanistic, psychodynamic, trauma-focused approaches to therapy. I take a client-centered approach to therapy and focus on psychodynamic, trauma-focused treatment models. My approach I utilize humanistic, psychodynamic, trauma-focused approaches to therapy. I am certified in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. My focus I have worked primarily with adolescents in my past 4 years as a therapist but have worked with adults more frequently in the past year. I feel just as comfortable working with both populations. My communication style I am very calm and laid back. I like to create a safe space for my clients to express their thoughts and feelings without feeling judged. My journey to mental healthcare I have worked in the mental health field since 2011, working as a child specialist, care coordinator with various intensive mental health programs throughout Los Angeles County. In 2019, I decided to take my next step in the field by working towards my Marriage and Family Therapy degree. I have been working as a therapist since 2021. My goals for you I take a collaborative approach in creating goals with my clients. I believe the clients are the experts of their own life, I am simply here to provide guidance and feedback.
