Getting to know Marion Kvasnicka

Do you feel like you've lost HOPE? Do you often wonder, "What's the point?" Do you feel like you are just surviving? HOPE! HOPE; noun; 1 - A feeling or expectation and desire for a certain thing to happen. 2 - A feeling of trust. HOPE; verb; Example: I HOPE therapy helps me, and I HOPE I learn the skills I need to move through this experience. I truly believe, as a therapist, that hope is the catalyst for change. Hope propels us to keep trying. When we feel stuck due to trauma holding us back, our thought distortions, or our self-sabotaging, HOPE is still present and propelling us to move forward. I am a firm believer that the root cause of all mental health disorders is trauma. This has been widely researched and confirmed. My goal is for us to meet the goals you have for yourself. We will do this by identifying healthy coping skills, becoming aware of the thought distortions we are experiencing, and learning to identify AND work through triggers. I believe in acknowledging generational curses. Trauma is passed down from generation to generation until a cycle breaker comes along who is willing to put in the hard work to heal themselves and prevent inflicting any more damage on themselves and future generations. I can promise you this work is not easy—life is not easy—we have to pick our hard. Staying where you are is also HARD. Your healing will be worth it! You are worth it! There is HOPE for a better future for yourself. I earned my Master’s in Social Work from the University of Nevada, Reno, and my open environment will serve as a safe space for you to process and move through life’s challenges. Let me work alongside you to offer an empathetic, genuine, empowering, and encouraging experience. LET’S WORK!

What should a new client know about working with you?

Our first couple of sessions will be history gathering, rights to confidentiality, and answering any questions about the therapeutic process and what you can expect from me as your therapist. Once we move on from those sessions we will dig into the depths of your current stressor and focus on incorporating skills so you feel confident in managing your current stressor. Let's face it, if we don't take care of the current crisis our brains will not allow us to learn and adapt new information. So once this is cleared, we will then explore and work to identify where these root thoughts came from so that we can target them and reprocess them together. Homework- triggers, the cycle of anger, thought distortions, the hierarchy of needs, & more!

In-network insurances

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
