Hi, I'm Marissa Guerrero, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with a Master’s in Counseling Psychology from John F. Kennedy University. More importantly, I am someone who can help guide you on your journey of healing and ignite change. I have over 15 years of experience in the field of mental health. I support individuals and families in learning new skills that have been triggered by their traumatic life experiences. I am also equipped to help you recognize, identify, and manage your emotional responses to stressful circumstances. I wholeheartedly believe that our life experiences give us the opportunity to learn new tools to become our better selves. I anchor my therapy sessions in a strengths-based, harm-reduction approach. My goal is to help you explore the underlying root causes of life stressors and uncover patterns that will help you learn new ways to navigate your day-to-day situations.
