When working with clients, I like to use a welcoming and warm person-centered approach. With your participation, I will guide you through the hardships you are experiencing while addressing the ways your past is showing up in your present. I will arm you with coping strategies and self-awareness to help you get to know yourself and work through current and future challenges. What should a new client know about working with you?

Having been a client for many years and knowing first hand the feelings of vulnerability and fear that can come up when starting therapy I will honor your pace and acknowledge your strengths off the bat. Starting out we will get to know one another in a warm, nonjudgmental space to identify your goals and points of difficulty or feelings of "stuckness." Once we have your goals in place we will work together to process past pain and improve the areas of difficulty you are experiencing.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

When first meeting you I provide a warm, nonjudgmental environment. I know how scary it can be to reach out for help with personal struggles because of this the first few sessions we will focus on getting to know one another and identifying your goals for therapy. As we continue we will work collaboratively on your goals and I will acknowledge or challenge patterns I observe that might be holding you back from knowing yourself fully and reaching the goals you want to achieve for your life.
