I earned my Master’s in Social Work from California State University, Hayward. I specialize in working with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, life transitions, grief/loss, medical illnesses, caregiving challenges, and substance use/addiction. I focus on using evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). My approach I frequently use CBT, Motivational Interviewing, and ACT, as all three modalities help the client and me build a strong sense of understanding and focus on the strengths that will assist in moving forward. I also emphasize mindfulness therapy and a strength-based approach, which allows us to focus on overcoming and coping with stressors. I have worked extensively in hospital settings providing therapy services to medically ill individuals and their families. I have also worked in palliative care and provided grief and loss therapy. Additionally, I support clients experiencing substance use/addictions by helping them navigate coping strategies and triggers.
