Getting to know Marketa Winfield

I bring extensive experience and expertise to my practice, having worked in various therapeutic roles across North Carolina. From 2020 to 2022, I served as the Lead Primary Therapist and Group Therapist at the Transformative Life Center/Transcend ED, where I guided individuals through their recovery journey with personalized care and support. My work focused on creating a safe and nurturing environment for clients to explore their emotions and develop healthier coping strategies. Since 2022, I have also been a Psychotherapist and Partner at Montgomery Counseling Group. This role has allowed me to collaborate with other mental health professionals to deliver comprehensive therapeutic services to a diverse clientele.

What should a new client know about working with you?

You can expect to have a conversation with me during the first session. This conversation will be laid back and casual. It may feel a lot like a conversation with a friend and that is intentional. I want you to feel safe and comfortable in your first session.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

We will spend some time talking about what brings you to therapy. I'll ask questions to help me understand your concerns and how they have been affecting you. Together, we will make a plan for how you want to address your concerns, what needs to change, and how to go about it. I will provide a safe place to process but I also provide tools and strategies to help improve your situation and/or reduce your symptoms.
