Getting to know Marlene Blanco

Hi there, I'm Marlene! I have worked with the Hispanic community providing mental health services. I am certified and trained in TF-CBT, Domestic Violence, Motivational Interviewing, and crisis counseling. In addition to providing individual therapy, I have also facilitated group therapy for victims of Domestic Violence and parenting issues, as well as school-based counseling. My work with community organizations in LA County has broadened my scope of practice and deepened my understanding of unique situations. Being born and raised in LA has also enriched my exposure to diverse individuals and experiences. Most of my experience has been working with children and adults who have survived trauma and experienced mood disorders. I have also guided individuals through crises during my work with The Trevor Project and Didi Hirsch. Additionally, I have provided mental health support for those facing sexual orientation stigma within the LGBTQ+ community. I hold a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Argosy University, Los Angeles.
