Hi there, I'm Marlene! Hello, my name is Marlene Reyes. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Master's in Social Work from California State University, San Bernardino. I strongly believe that therapy is a fundamental step in healing and recovery. A quote that influences my therapeutic approach is: ?Healing doesn't mean the damage never existed. My approach I have worked alongside individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, anger, trauma, stress, interpersonal conflict, and bullying. The theoretical approaches that guide my work include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TFCBT), Psychodynamic Therapy, Humanistic Therapy, Behavioral Therapy, Systems Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, and Crisis Management. My focus I have worked with children as young as 3 years old, adolescents, adults, and older adults. My experience spans Community Mental Health, Crisis Intensive Services, inpatient facilities, and Jail-Based Mental Health. My communication style My favorite part of being a provider is witnessing my clients' healing journeys and progress throughout therapy. My ultimate goal is to provide a safe and comfortable environment for you to begin your healing process. My journey to mental healthcare My journey to becoming a therapist has been deeply influenced by my Mexican-American background and the values instilled in me by my family and culture. Growing up, I witnessed the importance of community and connection, especially in times of struggle. These experiences fueled my desire to help others navigate their challenges. As a bilingual provider, I aspire to bridge the language barrier and dismantle the stigma associated with mental health. I draw not only on my education and experience but also on my lived experience in my practice.
