Marsha Edwards, LPC

Psychotherapist
TX
I am Marsha Edwards, a Licensed Professional Counselor–Supervisor, Life Coach, former Middle & High School Counselor, former Elementary Teacher, and Paraprofessional Educational Aide I. I hold a Master of Education in School Counseling from Dallas Baptist University and a Bachelor of Arts in Business Management with a Minor in International Business from Northwood University. I also have coursework in Marriage and Family Counseling from Dallas Baptist University. My approach to therapy is person-centered, focusing on helping individuals, couples, families, and children experience their lives in ways they find enjoyable and meaningful. Therapy is about the person(s) and their unique issues and concerns. While we primarily use cognitive behavioral strategies, our focus remains on processing thoughts and emotions and understanding their impact on behavioral choices. This openness allows us to incorporate other modalities that support the goals set for the therapeutic process. After years of practice, my approach has evolved into a trauma-informed, client-centered model that integrates cognitive behavioral strategies and positive psychology. This empowers clients to mindfully develop effective coping skills, increasing the likelihood of holistic healing. Clients can expect every session to center on their issues and concerns. This approach offers meaningful benefits: a safe and collaborative environment, achievable solutions addressing underlying issues, options to mindfully change unwanted behaviors, and the promotion of holistic wellness for a more enjoyable life experience—an outcome I believe is paramount to every client’s journey.
