What should a new client know about working with you?

I work with individuals who feel weighed down by shame, self-doubt, anxiety, anger, sadness, and other challenging emotions. Those who are navigating internal struggles and longing for a more compassionate, grounded relationship with themselves. You may be carrying painful stories about who you are or feel disconnected from your needs, emotions, or sense of direction. I hope to support you by offering a warm, collaborative space where we can explore those patterns together, deepen your self-understanding, and actively make intentional change through a process rooted in connection and reflection. We will strive to build greater emotional clarity, strengthen your inner voice, and move toward meaningful, lasting change. My communication style is warm, curious, and grounded in the belief that healing happens in relationships. I pay close attention to how you relate to yourself and others, and how those patterns might show up in our work together. I listen with care and offer gentle reflections to help you build insight into your emotions, needs, and relational patterns. My empathy and desire to connect with others led me to the mental health field. In graduate school, I discovered the magic of therapy and was drawn to approaches that valued each person as the expert of their own life and the power of empathic understanding. My motivation is witnessing my clients grow; being part of their journey is both humbling and deeply rewarding.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

We will collaborate to set goals that feel meaningful and aligned to you. Sometimes that means starting with broad intentions, like wanting to feel more confident or more connected to others, and clarifying those over time as we deepen our work together. Goals are ever evolving, just like people. As insight grows and healing unfolds, we revisit and adjust goals to reflect your changing needs and values. Throughout the process, I offer support, reflection, and gentle guidance to help you recognize growth, stay connected to what matters most to you, and move toward lasting, meaningful change. In our first session, we’ll take time to get to know each other and explore what brings you to therapy. I’ll ask some gentle questions about your history, current challenges, and hopes for our work together. It’s completely normal to feel nervous. Know that whether you are considering therapy for the first time or have attended therapy in the past, I welcome you as you are. My hope is to create a safe, supportive environment where you can begin to feel more at ease and start building trust in the process. If you're not sure where to start, that's okay, let's figure it out together.
