"Hi, I'm Mary-Catherine, a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) in the state of Ohio. My journey in mental health began with a Bachelor's degree in Neuroscience from Bowling Green State University in 2011, followed by a dual master's program in Mental Health and School Counseling at Walsh University, which I completed in 2014. Since then, I've dedicated my career to supporting children, adolescents, and adults through various life challenges. My therapeutic approach is grounded in empathy, resilience, and a deep commitment to helping individuals and families find balance and peace in their lives. I believe in the power of therapy to foster growth, healing, and self-discovery. Whether you're dealing with anxiety, depression, relational issues, stress, grief, or trauma, I'm here to support you every step of the way. I have extensive experience working with children, adolescents, and families, particularly those who have experienced trauma. My work at Community Services of Stark County as an Early Childhood Mental Health Consultant allowed me to teach and promote mental health and resilience skills to young children, teachers, and families. For the past 10 years, I've been employed at CommQuest Services, specializing in the child, adolescent, and family population. I'm also trained in EMDR, a powerful technique for alleviating symptoms related to traumatic stress. In our sessions, you can expect a compassionate and collaborative environment where your unique experiences and needs are honored. My goal is to help you gain the tools and insights needed to navigate life's challenges and achieve a sense of well-being. Outside of my professional life, I find balance through playing tennis, reading, connecting with friends and family, my faith, and spending time in nature. These activities help me recharge and stay grounded, so I can be fully present for my clients.
