Mary Clisbee, LMHC

Psychotherapist
MA
I work with adults and teens facing anxiety, depression, stress, burnout, trauma, grief, and major life transitions. My clients are often high-achieving professionals, caregivers, healthcare workers, and others seeking support during difficult periods of life. I provide a compassionate, collaborative space where clients can gain insight, build resilience, improve coping skills, and develop practical strategies for managing challenges, strengthening relationships, and creating meaningful, lasting change. Clients often come to my practice because of my extensive international experience in insecure, volatile areas. My approach is warm, practical, and collaborative. I help clients understand patterns contributing to distress, build resilience, and develop effective coping strategies. I have particular expertise in working with trauma, chronic stress, burnout, and the effects of insecurity and humanitarian crises, drawing on decades of international experience. Seeking support takes courage, especially when life feels overwhelming. You do not have to face difficult challenges alone. Whether you are coping with stress, loss, trauma, or a major life transition, counseling can provide a space for healing, growth, and renewed perspective. I welcome the opportunity to support you on your journey.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider's self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan's benefits.
