Getting to know Mary Goodwin

I have been a social worker for more than eight years and hold a Master's in Social Work from the University of South Carolina. I have experience working with people from diverse backgrounds facing a variety of life's challenges. Much of my work has involved supporting individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma, LGBTQ+ issues, substance use, and the challenges of parenting. I embrace the philosophy of meeting people where they are and helping them navigate challenges with a nonjudgmental, honest, and direct approach. You can expect a holistic approach to help you face challenges, learn more about yourself, and gain confidence in your ability to navigate your journey. I can interact with you in whatever manner you are most comfortable with. I find it helpful to participate in video sessions to get to know each other better. Most of my availability is in the evenings and on weekends, but I check messages often during weekdays. I understand it can be overwhelming to find a counselor you feel connected with, and I would be honored to work with you through this stage of your life.
