Mary Harmon, LPC

Psychotherapist
4515 Poplar Ave, Ste 200, Memphis, TN
Hi there, I'm Mary! I’m a licensed therapist in Memphis, Tennessee. Many of the clients I work with are high-achieving professionals who appear successful on the outside but internally feel overwhelmed by constant worry, pressure, and overthinking. My focus I work with adults experiencing anxiety, chronic stress, burnout, and the effects of complex life experiences. Many of my clients are high-achieving professionals who feel overwhelmed by pressure, overthinking, or emotional exhaustion. I help clients better understand themselves, reduce anxiety, and develop healthier internal balance. My approach My approach to therapy is grounded in Internal Family Systems (IFS), an evidence-based model that helps people understand the different “parts” of themselves that influence thoughts, emotions, and behavior. My communication style My communication style is warm, collaborative, and nonjudgmental. I create a supportive space where clients feel safe exploring difficult emotions and experiences. I balance empathy with thoughtful guidance, helping clients slow down, gain insight, and develop greater self-understanding while feeling respected, heard, and supported. My journey to mental healthcare I became a therapist to support people navigating anxiety, stress, and life challenges, inspired by my own experiences with emotional growth. Training in Internal Family Systems (IFS) allows me to help clients understand themselves deeply and cultivate lasting self-compassion and balance. My goals for you I help clients clarify meaningful goals and understand the patterns that may be keeping them stuck. Using Internal Family Systems (IFS), we explore emotional triggers, reduce internal conflict, and build healthier coping strategies so clients can experience greater balance, clarity, and lasting change.
