Hi there, I'm Mary! Hello, my name is Mary Francois Roach, and I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW). I earned my Master's in Social Work from the University of California, Los Angeles. I am dedicated and passionate about supporting my clients. My goal is to provide a safe space for those experiencing anxiety, depression, and/or relationship issues. My approach Every client is unique. My approach to therapy is tailored specifically to the needs of the individual. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy are the most commonly applied methods, as they are very effective in building a shared understanding of the client's reality. This mutual understanding between therapist and client allows the client's needs to be identified and addressed. My focus My specialty is providing therapy for teens and young adults who are dealing with the challenges of life transitions and social pressures. These challenges commonly involve anxiety, depression, stress, and eating disorders. I help my clients navigate these transition periods and build the skills needed to feel better about themselves and develop a more positive outlook on life. My communication style My communication style is welcoming and uniquely personable. My clients naturally feel comfortable talking with me about anything and easily understand that I listen without judgment. My journey to mental healthcare People are drawn to talk to me because of my personality and the way I relate to them. I decided to become a therapist because of my natural ability to engage and help people through conversation. Whether it was constantly meeting and talking with strangers, my past work as a nanny and preschool teacher, or now as a licensed clinical social worker, I have always been drawn to personal communication and helping people through difficult times. I enjoy seeing individuals become the best versions of themselves.
