Getting to know Matt Marder

Hello, my name is Matt Marder. Thank you for taking the time to learn more about me and how I might support you on your personal journey. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with a Master's in Social Work from Loyola University Chicago. I offer behavioral therapy to improve and maintain your emotional well-being. I focus on building a trusting relationship with my clients, allowing them to be heard and understood. Initially, we begin where you are and build a treatment plan specifically to meet your needs. My approaches allow you to recognize yourself, think about others, and identify strategies for navigating the daily roller-coaster of life. You may have gone through a loss or be experiencing trouble managing whatever life has thrown your way. I am available to listen and help you succeed in improving yourself, your relationships, or your family life. No matter who you are or what circumstances you've endured, your emotional health and well-being are most important. Feel free to reach out to me for assistance.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Overall, treatment with me would help you improve yourself. Your initial session will focus on your situation and provides an opportunity for the assessment of your current emotional health. It is important that I understand what brings you to therapy before speaking to strategies for improvement. Not only will you provide information to me during this first session, but you will also learn about my background and how I will work with you to achieve your goals. During treatment, you would be provided with appropriate tools based on your identified needs. This might include exercises to change your thought process, effective coping mechanisms, or challenges to engage with others. After our collaboration, you will have the skills necessary to navigate your life and achieve your goals.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
