“This entire experience is one of those things in life you’ll never forget. During our work together, I learned so much. I was challenged in ways I had never been, and yet felt safe enough to be vulnerable and explore my thoughts and feelings. So thankful I had the chance to do this. Best investment I’ve made for myself in a very long time.”

Getting to know Matthew Booth

Hello! My name is Matthew, and I’m a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC #8304) with a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of San Diego. I specialize in working with adult clients who struggle with depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, Christian spirituality (doubt, purpose, meaning, identity), trauma, and men’s related issues such as insecurity, anger, and grief. I utilize an integrative approach incorporating CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy), and ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy). These methods allow me to tailor the best treatment plan to fit your individual needs. I provide a warm, genuine, and collaborative process during therapy. I understand that opening up and sharing your story with another person is difficult, and you are not alone. I believe true healing comes to those willing to admit they have fallen and have a deep desire to get back up. My hope is to inspire, motivate, and educate clients by providing helpful tools that are life-changing and realistic in practice. Every journey begins with a single step! I look forward to hearing your story. In my spare time, I enjoy hiking, playing tennis and golf, relaxing at the beach, reading psychology and theology books, and finding the best place in town for great Mexican food. Yum!
