I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and I approach each family and individual as unique and will use a holistic approach tailored to their needs. My focus is on children, adolescents, and families. My approach I use an eclectic approach using cognitive behavioral therapy, behavioral therapy, and other theoretical approaches, gauging which theoretical approach would work best with each individual and family. My focus I love working with children and adolescents having worked with severely emotionally disturbed and foster youth for over 18 years. Also working with individuals with SUD. My communication style I am friendly, outgoing, and down-to-earth. I am able to make people feel welcome and comfortable about opening up about their personal lives to me. My journey to mental healthcare I am clean and sober for 30 years and have a working knowledge of the 12 steps of AA/NA. I am a Survivor of Domestic Violence. My father was an alcoholic, my mother was diagnosed with Bipolar disorder, and I have seven brothers. I have done the work I will be asking you to do and I am now happy, joyous, and free and would like to share my experience strength, and hope with others to show them not only how to survive but to thrive. My goals for you I work with each client and or family individually and set reasonable and realistic short and long-term goals. My first session with you Our first session will be to discuss your expectations and for me to get to know you/your family and for us to build a rapport with each other.
