My journey to mental healthcare I earned my bachelor’s degree in Health Care Administration from CSU Long Beach. From there, I began working in grants/program management in South Los Angeles, where I met a colleague who suggested I apply to the MSW program at the University of Southern California (USC). I then became a Trojan and went on to earn my master’s degree in Social Work. I’ve been fortunate to have held various clinical positions from a clinical trainee at a residential substance use program in Los Angeles, to a clinical and administrative trainee at Kaiser Permanente’s psychiatric department in Anaheim, to providing therapy to young adult mothers in Echo Park. Additionally, I was able to expand my level of expertise in providing crisis evaluations as an Orange County Children’s CAT team member, as well as obtain a clinical specialty by providing therapy to individuals who struggle with addiction and other co-occurring disorders.
