Getting to know Maya P
Hello, I'm Maya.
Do you ever feel that life has a tight grip on you and you don't know how to break free? Like, no matter what you do, it feels as if things will never change? Does trying to balance all of your different roles feel overwhelming?
If you answered yes to any of these questions, this is where I come in! I am here to help you create and design a safe space to express and share your emotions and feelings. Together, we will figure out ways to navigate through the ebb and flow of life. We will use a holistic approach, addressing your body, mind, and spirit. I integrate mindfulness and art to assist you in building a stronger relationship with yourself.
This is your journey, and we move at your pace. I am here to guide you through overwhelming feelings, relationship issues, anxiety, and depression so that you know you are not alone. The thought of therapy can be scary, but you took the first step and made the right decision. You deserve to heal and grow! I will meet you where you are and provide empathy along with evidence-based techniques to help you overcome life's challenges.
I hold a Master's degree in Counseling Psychology from Saint Xavier University, which equips me to support you with professional care and understanding. Come on in and take a seat!
What should a new client know about working with you?
I hope that once you meet in the first session, you will be able to see that I am someone who is compassionate about helping you to reach your goals. That I will listen and allow you to share your story with no judgments. We will work as a team to collaborate on treatment and the outcomes you would like to achieve. Once again this is not a race but a marathon.
More information on payments and coverage
Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
