Hi there, I'm Mayra! Hello, my name is Mayra Alvarez, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with a Master’s in Social Work from California State University, Los Angeles. I help individuals heal and rise from past trauma experiences, unexpected life events, generational trauma, grief, and encourage self-authenticity. I have worked with children, adults, and the elderly. *Please note that I am unable to service clients in the Los Angeles County area at this time.* My approach My treatment approach varies and is individualized using client-centered, solution-focused, mindfulness, and strength-based methods. I believe in getting to know individuals and working together to find the right coping skills and navigate day-to-day life. However, not all sessions need to be a deep dive into topics that individuals find uncomfortable; they can also include discussing topics that foster our client-therapist therapeutic relationship. My focus I love working with teens, adults, and older adults across different walks of life, cultural backgrounds, and previous therapy experience. Life can be uncertain, and unresolved trauma eventually makes itself known and can potentially impede everyday functioning. I am bilingual in Spanish and am open to having Spanish-only sessions or a mixture of Spanglish.
