CA
My name is Mayra Molina, and I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in California. I provide services in Spanish and have experience working with victims of crime, depression, anxiety, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, substance use, stress management, coping skills, as well as developmental disabilities such as Autism. I hold a Master’s degree in Counseling from National University. My approach is to support my clients by meeting them where they are, allowing them to process their experiences while identifying tools to improve their quality of life and better manage their symptoms. My focus has been on working with victims of domestic violence and sexual abuse. I have worked with children, adults, and families to better manage depression, anxiety, and severe mental illness. With over 12 years of experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities, I am fluent in Spanish and committed to culturally sensitive care. My communication style is gentle and client-centered, following my clients’ needs throughout therapy. My journey in mental healthcare began working with individuals with developmental disabilities such as autism and Down syndrome in home, clinical, and school-based settings. I developed a passion for supporting children, teenagers, and adults who are victims of domestic violence, sexual abuse, and trauma. Over time, I expanded my work to include adults with schizophrenia and bipolar disorder, as well as couples and families facing relationship challenges or trauma. I am dedicated to helping individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, and relationship issues related to life changes, guiding them toward recovery and improved quality of life. My goal is to help clients identify their goals during the first session and revisit them as needed, always following each client’s personalized treatment plan.
