Megan Collins, LMFT

Psychotherapist
CA
I help individuals, couples, and/or families grow toward healing and health through integrative therapy. Throughout the lifespan, many things can happen to interfere with our relational health- addiction, body image, trauma, depression, just to name a few- and I have experience guiding my clients through them all. Together we will work towards you, your relationships, or your family system becoming its most empowered and functional. My approach The work we will do together is something I honor, and I will treat the time we spend with the respect it deserves. I lead with an honest and direct approach, using my personal and professional experiences. My goal is to help you find your healthiest relationships with others and yourself. My focus I have specialties in treating addiction, trauma, and body image-related issues. I am a firm believer that authenticity and a solid sense of self are imperative tools for helping you find the healthiest version of yourself. Using psychoeducation, attachment theory, and other integrated approaches, I will support you in reaching your therapy goals My communication style I prioritize authenticity and humor as much as empathy. I know mental health and life stressors can create a lot of "noise' in our minds, so I speak directly to cut through some of that noise. My journey to mental healthcare I have seen what happens to people and their families when mental health, trauma, generational cycles, and life stressors aren't addressed and treated. I have always believed that people are doing the best they can with what they know and view my role as a therapist as helping them "know better" so they can "do better" as Dr. Maya Angelou once said. My goals for you I support my clients in meeting their goals, like a map helps an explorer find their way. I am here as a guide- using education, experience, and empathy to help my clients take the small, everyday steps that lead to lasting change.
