Megan Montague, LMFT

Psychotherapist
CA
Hello, I am Megan. As a licensed marriage and family therapist with a Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy from Alliant International University and a Bachelor’s degree from UCLA, I understand how important it is to find the right person when life feels overwhelming. With a warm, caring, and non-judgmental approach, I have helped many clients feel safe and comfortable enough to overcome issues and create lasting change. My approach Research shows healing depends on the client-therapist relationship. My main goal is to help clients feel safe enough to explore difficult issues. While my approach is based in Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and other evidence-based practices, I adapt my style to meet each client’s unique needs. My focus I work with clients facing many struggles, with expertise in eating disorders (Anorexia, Bulimia, Binge Eating Disorder, ARFID), body image, depression, anxiety, trauma, chemical dependency, LGBTQ concerns, domestic violence, and self-esteem issues. My communication style I am warm and supportive, offering direct yet gentle feedback. My journey to mental healthcare I love being a therapist and feel it’s my perfect calling. I enjoy learning about people and am honored to hear clients’ life stories. Witnessing healing and positive change is deeply rewarding and why I do this work. My goals for you Goal setting provides a roadmap for therapy. I set goals with clients during the first session and revisit them periodically. My first session with you The first session is about getting to know each other and gathering initial information.
