What should a new client know about working with you?

I am a firm believer in the power of the stories that we tell about ourselves and our experiences. Sometimes experiences like changes in relationship status, career changes, new education experiences, or entering a new phase of life can cause us to buy into a negative story narrated by our inner critic, leading to symptoms like racing thoughts, low energy, decreased feelings of self-worth, etc.. In sessions we will examine how past, present, and ongoing experiences shape your current story and identity. Together we will work to create a new story that includes your identified values, strengths, life goals, and accomplishments. As humans we find ourselves in frequent states of evolving and "becoming"; changing and/or being changed by our life experience. Occasionally, this can be difficult to work through alone. Helping people feel confident about how they show up to these changes and experiences is my passion. If this resonates with you, I would love to connect!

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I help people identify thoughts, feelings, and behaviors that are keeping them from living the life they desire. I offer a safe space to work through difficult emotions and reflect on impactful experiences. Clients would describe my approach to therapy as empowering, insightful, and down-to-earth.
