My name is Melanie Roum. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Louisiana. I received a Masters of Social Work degree from Louisiana State University. Over my career, I have treated both children and adults. My skills have been utilized to treat clients in a partial hospital program for mental health and addiction treatment, older adults with serious mental illness in an intensive outpatient program, and also with individual therapy. I have been in the field serving adults now for over 13 years. My clients have seen results with the person centered and solutions focused approaches that I use. Many clients who put in the work have reported a reduction in mental health symptoms and a significant improvement in addictive behaviors. Clients have reported an improvement in relationships, and overall increase in satisfaction in life, and a better sense of purpose and direction. I am passionate about human health, especially for emotional and spiritual healing and growth.
