Hi there, I'm Melba! I am a bilingual Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Master's in Social Work from the University of Maryland. I have over 14 years of clinical experience working with individuals, families, and couples. I believe that every individual is unique, with their own strengths and challenges. My approach The therapeutic approaches I use include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT). My focus area is adult mental health, including mood disorders such as depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety disorders. My focus I primarily work with adult women between the ages of 25 and 55. I have a passion for supporting women experiencing anxiety, depression, and post-traumatic stress. I believe this age group can be particularly affected by the challenges that life throws at them. My communication style I take a compassionate approach with clients and work with them to reach their full potential at their own pace. I want my clients to feel comfortable and supported so they can feel empowered to work toward their goals. I am patient and compassionate, and I'm here to help them achieve their full potential. My journey to mental healthcare I'm a great listener, and I believe that's a key quality of a good therapist. I want my clients to feel comfortable talking about anything they want or need to discuss. I always want to hear what's on their minds and help them develop solutions to their problems.
