Missy Simpson is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in California who has been practicing since 2002. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and English from Westmont College and her Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Azusa Pacific University. Missy uses an eclectic, holistic approach to therapy, tailoring each client’s treatment according to their individual needs and supporting them in their healing process. In her sessions with clients, she creates a peaceful, compassionate, and safe therapeutic environment so she can work together with each client on the problems that have held them back from living a full and happy life. Missy helps her clients discover the root of their problems, process the underlying issues, and develop a plan to overcome current obstacles which might impede progress. Missy works with adults with issues such as anxiety, self-esteem issues, relationship problems, social problems, dating issues, communication issues, stress management, loss, trauma, and abuse. Additionally, she is trained in EMDR treatment which she uses with some clients to process trauma, abuse, and/or negative thoughts, etc. which can make life and relationships more difficult.
