I am a licensed clinical social worker with over 20 years of experience working with individuals, couples, and families. Through my work in medical and mental health settings, I have developed a deep understanding of the challenges my clients and their loved ones face. My passion is providing counseling and education to empower positive change. I specialize in treating depression, anxiety, grief, life adjustment to chronic or life-limiting illnesses, trauma, LGBTQ+ issues, and relationship conflicts. Outside of work, I enjoy traveling, kayaking, and hiking with my dog.

I utilize an integrative and collaborative therapeutic approach that is trauma-informed and culturally responsive to meet the unique needs of each client. My work centers on positive aging, addressing social isolation and loneliness, providing caregiver support, and helping individuals cope with grief and loss. I engage clients with warmth, empathy, and humor, using a person-centered and strengths-based approach.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

In the first session, my goal is to build a strong therapeutic relationship and gain a full understanding of my client’s concerns. It’s a time for us to get to know each other and begin collaborating on treatment goals. I focus on establishing trust and creating a safe, supportive space for clients to share their story.
