Getting to know Melynda Farnham
I received a Bachelor's degree in Social Work in 2007 from the University of South Florida and went on to earn my Master's degree in Social Work from the same university in 2010. During that time, I worked full time and interned with clients who had experienced traumatic events, primarily sexual assault or abuse. Before starting my private practice, I spent 12 years as a school social worker serving students ages 3 to 22. During this period, I obtained my licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and became a qualified LCSW supervisor.
What should a new client know about working with you?
I would expect that each client should walk away from a session feeling better than they walked in. Even during the busiest times when it's difficult to carve out an hour for anything, you should leave the session feeling glad that you kept your appointment. I will help you set goals and then point out and celebrate every success. Therapy will be a safe space for you to vent and feel heard and validated. If we are also able to have a few laughs in the time we have, I would not be surprised.

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
