As a Licensed Professional Counselor and Certified Professional Clinical Supervisor, Michael received a Master's in Counseling from Argosy University in Atlanta, Georgia. He also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Services and a Bachelor of Science degree in Business from Shorter University in Atlanta, GA. Michael is a seasoned Licensed Therapist who has worked in a variety of community-based settings and roles. He spent six years working in inpatient hospital social work. Over the last 12 to 15 years, he has provided Clinical Supervision and served in Clinical Director roles, supervising unlicensed staff and overseeing clinical programs. Currently, as the Director of Clinical Operations, he oversees an outpatient mental health facility that provides psychiatric, medical, and mental health counseling services. Michael's scope of practice is broad and varied, utilizing cognitive and behavioral therapy along with other specialty modalities to provide individual, family, and couples counseling to children, adults, and families. His areas of specialty include meditation and mindfulness, addictions, grief and loss, depression, oppositional and defiant issues in children, homelessness, spiritual connectedness, leadership development, stress management, LGBTQ issues, and trauma that impact growth, development, and personal progress.
