Hi there, I'm Michael! Hello, my name is Michael Mack, ALM, LCSW, and I believe through the use of solution-focused techniques, insight-oriented therapies, and motivational interviewing, people develop the coping skills to shift beliefs, change behaviors, and overcome negative past events. Clients learn new ways to improve their social interactions and personal development to reduce the impact of anxiety, depression, and other issues. Ultimately, it is about getting better and feeling better. It is about taking control of your life or helping a loved one overcome the pain and suffering of a mental illness. My approach I was educated and trained at Rutgers, Harvard, Savannah State, and the University of Pennsylvania. I started my career over 25 years ago at the Philadelphia Child Guidance Clinic, where he focused on Structural Family Therapy (SFT) developed by Salvador Minuchin, a pioneer in child and adolescent therapy. In addition, I have been trained by the Beck Institute and Linehan Institute/Behavioral Tech in evidence-based interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Prolonged Exposure Therapy (PE), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). My focus As Will Rogers said, “A stranger is just a friend I haven't met yet.” My client focus is on helping individuals navigate personal challenges, improve emotional well-being, and build resilience. I specialize in working with those dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues, offering evidence-based interventions tailored to their specific needs. My goal is to support clients in achieving meaningful and sustainable growth. My communication style My communication style is empathetic, clear, and collaborative. I aim to create a supportive environment where clients feel heard and understood while also providing direct feedback and guidance to help them achieve their goals. I tailor my approach to each client's unique needs, fostering open dialogue and mutual respect.
