“I tried therapy in the past and it wasn’t for me because previous therapists just listened, nodded their heads and asked the occasional, “And how does that make you feel?” Page has been a breath of fresh air! We have conversations and he provides wonderful and helpful insights. He listens intently and I feel as if I am getting the support, encouragement and strength to deal with the difficult time I am having at the moment. I’ve only had two sessions so far but am looking forward to continuing my therapy!”

Getting to know Michael Morgan

Hi there, I'm Michael "Page"! I am a fun, down-to-earth person. When not working, you will find me outdoors enjoying the mountains and the water, savoring good deep conversations around campfires. I am trying to get the most out of life, and I get a lot out of the opportunity to share in the experience of the individuals I work with. You will not see me just observing your experience from a distance. Instead, you will experience me joining you in your situation and sorting through it by your side. I have worked in private therapy offices, County Specialty Mental Health Services, Native American Clinics, the Educational Field, Church Counseling Offices, and the Jail System. I hold a Master’s in Counseling Psychology from National University, Redding. My approach I am intrigued by the stories that we are immersed in—sorting through them to make sense, reviewing the stories of our past, and identifying if the stories we are trying to write about our futures are desirable and functional. My approach melds aspects of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Existential Therapy. However, you won’t see me fully adopting any one of these paradigms. I am very adaptable to what comes up in the moment and listen for where the wind should take us instead of where different theories say we should go. My focus I have worked with various personalities, struggles, and situations. Honestly, I do not have an "ideal client." I am fueled by different types of experiences and fear I would risk burnout if I stayed in too narrow a lane in my practice. I love working with kids and need those opportunities to let out my inner child. I also enjoy deep conversations with adults and couples, as we are all trying to figure out how life is supposed to work and how to move forward in the face of suffering.
