In the first session, you can expect to be heard and listened to, cared for while having the opportunity to identify stressors, coping skills, and figure out ways to help you heal.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

First, I take a holistic approach by looking at different facets of your life that is contributing to your stressors to come up with a tailored treatment plan and interventions that meets your needs. Although this was a virtual appointment, I felt like I was in a safe space, I felt comfortable enough to open up and share my experiences. Michael Serrano is a great listener as well as a great counselor. Very glad I decided to seek therapy!
Michael is great. He really listens to understand, and gives me clarity on the situations occurring in my life. He draws on past conversations very well, and gives positive reinforcement that has me looking forward to our sessions.
Very relaxed environment, first session we just went over some breathing and hand exercises, I liked his attitude and felt like I could at least tell him about basic problems. Positive first therapy experience.
Great listener! I would definitely come back.
This was a great session. I will be going back regularly. I have been searching for the right therapist for a while and am happy to have found Michael. Very welcoming environment.
Michael is very communicative via email and the phone. He booked me right away and offered an immediate appointment. When I met with him, he was comforting, showed empathy and he was very patient. I felt a lot better after I left Michael. I look forward to our sessions.
