Hi, I am Mike Skoda, and I bring expertise in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), The Gottman Method, couples and family counseling, EMDR therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP). I have a passion for using a relational method of really trying to understand you and your loved ones, being curious and nonjudgmental in my approach to helping you, while also offering practical solutions you can begin to use as additional coping strategies. I am particularly skilled in couples and marriage counseling, working with trauma using EMDR, working with Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) and related subtypes using ACT and ERP, Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Substance Use Disorders, and issues affecting those with addictions and their family members.
