Is your child becoming more depressed, anxious, or defiant, spending way too much time on devices? Are you experiencing uncertainty about where you are in your life and where to go from here? Are you a creative person? As individuals, we often struggle to strike a balance between our careers, our interests, and our relationships. Life can feel like it's just getting more difficult. I have extensive experience working with children, teenagers, and adults to follow their passions, manage various stressors, but also be realistic and not let a mental health disorder hinder them. I have a good sense of humor and work in a relaxed, informal manner using an eclectic approach. I work well with children, both men and women, and older clients, and clients experiencing gender dysphoria/issues. My approach A client-centered approach that encompasses developing the coping skills needed for various stressors and situations, psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral therapy, play-based therapy with children, self-empowerment concepts, mindfulness, and dialectical behavioral therapy. I am a strong advocate for deep breathing and meditation to help manage stressors, quiet the mind, and help with centering oneself, all of which help with reducing anxiety, anger, depression, and stress. My focus I often see children ages 6 and older, adolescents, and I work with their parents as needed, often having separate parent sessions as needed in addition to the individual session with their child. I never keep the parent out of the therapy, and I believe they need to be involved with as much as they or their child is comfortable. I also see adults of many walks of life, and have had extensive experience working with elderly clients going through life transitions like retirement, sickness/death of a spouse, feeling separated or estranged from their children, and declining health issues.
