Hello, I'm Michael. If you're reading this, you're likely seeking relief from something that's been weighing you down, but you're not sure how to start or might be struggling with motivation. I understand, and I'm here to help. I believe in accepting people as unique individuals and truly enjoy the diversity each person brings to our sessions. "This ain't my first rodeo"—I've worked in various settings including inpatient, outpatient, residential, hospitals, and with veterans. My approach is supportive and calming, but I can also be direct and challenging if that's what you need. I remember struggling with attention issues as a child. My report cards often said, "Michael does not pay attention." It was tough for me, and I wasn't taught how to focus. I had to learn on my own, and it wasn't until I studied Karate, meditated in a Zen Dojo, and learned discipline in the US Army that I made significant progress. These experiences have shaped my understanding and approach to therapy. In therapy, we strive to become better versions of ourselves. Whether you're dealing with anger management, ADHD, bipolar disorder, life transitions, medical issues, military-related concerns, relationship and intimacy issues, spirituality, stress, depression, addiction, or anxiety, I'm here to guide you. One of our goals might be to find peace and happiness. While it might be unrealistic to be happy all the time, achieving peace of mind—being free of troublesome thoughts and accepting things as they are—is a realistic and achievable goal. Acceptance means making room for all your feelings, and we all need help with this sometimes. Perhaps I can be your guide on this journey. Let's work together to help you become the best version of yourself. If you're ready to take the next step, I'm here to support you.
